Easter Flowers - Jean Bullass
Thank you Jean for the Floral demonstrations and giving us Floral
ideas to brighten our homes at Easter.
Artist Katrina Gardiner was
born Thalidomide, she told us about her life. Katrina also brought
along pictures that she has painted and
also showed us how she paints using her toes to hold the brush.
My father was a Snob - Mr Leeson came along and talked
about his memories of his father and his childhood. How his father
trained to become a Snob and the tools he used for a wide range
of leather goods his father made. (Snob is a southern word for
a person who mends shoes and boots etc )
We held a very successful Quiz and Supper night
on Friday 11th April in the Memorial Hall. The net proceeds of
£490 were donated to The Eyeless Trust which
is a national Charity that helps families with children born with
eye disabilities, they offer support both physical and financial,
in the way of helping with costs of educational toys, computers
and other sight aid items, they also fund families on their many
trips to specialist hospitals. A BIG thank you
to all who bought tickets and supported our efforts and made it
into a full house on the night.
